Our Vision

One outgrowth of a recent self study process is that the church adopted a new vision statement: Growing Together by Walking in His Way. This statement is supported by three core value components: growing in Christ, caring for each other, and sharing His truth.

As Christian believers, we understand that being a Christian is process. From the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Savior we have begun to grow and mature in our understanding of faith and to develop in the practice of discipleship. We have committed ourselves to this growing process as we walk closely and daily in the footsteps of our master and guide, Jesus Christ.

As persons who are part of this unique family of faith called the First Baptist Church of Walterboro, we are also committed to care for and support each other as we put our faith into practice in a world that needs to hear the message of God’s grace. By lifestyle and by deliberate action, we endeavor to share the good news of God’s grace within our community and around the world.
