Mission Statement

To lead all people in Walterboro and beyond to a life changing, ever growing relationship with Christ and one another.

Our Core Values & Commitments

We are guided and inspired by our vision and it alone influences our mission.  This vision also reflects our values which are manifested in our commitments. The following statements represent our core values and commitments. They are five practical ways we can carry out our mission every day.  They are not just things we do, but they reflect who we are.

  1. WELCOME OTHERS AS CHRIST WELCOMES US
We believe that belonging often precedes believing, and hope that people who feel welcomed by Jesus’ Church will become more open to Jesus Himself.

  2. SHARE EACH OTHER’S BURDENS
All Christians share the responsibility to care for one another, and each has a specific role to play.

  3. EQUIP THE SAINTS FOR MINISTRY
The word “ministry” simply means service. Pastors, teachers, and church leaders equip people in the church through the ministry of the Word, through worship, discipleship and prayer to be better servants of Jesus, to one another, and the greater community.

  4. LOVE WALTERBORO LONG TERM
We are committed long term to the giving ourselves towards the welfare of our city and county for the glory of God and His Kingdom.

  5. BUILD SMALL GROUPS THAT BEAR FRUIT
And through Jesus, we as the Church are called to bear fruit in the world together. Biblically, bearing fruit includes personal conversions to Christ (Romans 1:13), Christian maturity (Galatians 5:22), hearing and obeying God’s will (Colossians 1:6) and Christ exalting worship ( Hebrews 13:15).
